At NVRS we can provide advice and treatment for a range of anal sac (often called gland) disorders including anal sacculitis, anal sac neoplasia, rectal prolapse and rectal tumours.
We can provide medicated treatment, perform flushes and, in more severe cases such as chronic infection and tumours, anal sacculectomy (anal gland removal). Anal sac tumours are often very serious and may require further imaging via CT scanning and discussion with our oncology team before embarking on surgery.
